Some of these particles are large enough to be seen with naked eye but many other are so small and fine that can only be detected through specific instruments. Depending on the size, these can be divided in different ranges with the common factor that, once inhaled, they are responsible for a large variety of health disease to a lesser or greater degree.<\/p>\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n<p><strong>Knowing the exact content of PM<\/strong> is of the utmost importance to follow the WHO air quality guidelines recommending exposure limits to key air pollutants and reduce their adverse health effect on human being.<\/p>\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n<p>Cost effective and reliable, <strong>PMsense<\/strong> is the perfect solution in smart city applications and environmental monitoring especially close to sources of PM such as construction sites, industrial activities, smokestacks, power plants, combustion engines, road traffic<\/p>\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n<p>Based on laser scattering measuring principle, PMsense ensures a very accurate reading of <strong>PM1.0, PM2.5 and PM10<\/strong> particle counts.<\/p>\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n<p>The configuration of the instrument and the reading of the measurements can be done via the RS485 serial output, both with the proprietary protocol and with the MODBUS-RTU protocol and the results are reported in \u03bcg\/m\u00b3. In combination with one of our loggers, collected data are then sent via HTTP to the <a href=\"https:\/\/environmental.senseca.com\/en\/support\/software\/delta-ohm-cloud-platform\/\">Senseca Cloud<\/a> and therefore available on any device.<\/p>\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n<p>As a producer of <a href=\"https:\/\/environmental.senseca.com\/en\/2019\/08\/23\/all-in-one-meteo-compact-stations-quick-easy-and-complete\/\">Automatic Weather Stations<\/a>, we also recognize the demand from the market in having PM measurement in combination with an AWS.
