MeteoData-4000 series – Multi-Purpose Data Logger with Global Connectivity

Advanced data acquisition system with very low power consumption for environmental monitoring networks.

The METEODATA-4000 Series is Senseca’s next-generation environmental data logger designed for reliable, autonomous operation in demanding outdoor installations. Built as an open platform, it connects to a wide range of COTS sensors (analogue, pulse and smart digital) and combines onboard processing, self-diagnostics and alarm handling to help ensure high-quality data in real-world conditions.

Key benefits

  • Very low power consumption for long-term autonomous operation.
  • Universal sensor compatibility via analogue and digital interfaces (RS-232/RS-485, SDI-12, Modbus and more).
  • High-capacity I/O resources designed to support complex monitoring systems.
  • Embedded data processing & alarms with up to 32 measurement channels and up to 32 alarm channels.
  • Global connectivity options including cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Low Energy, Ethernet and satellite interfaces.
  • Faster commissioning with drag-and-drop sensor setup via the software ecosystem and online sensor library.

Typical applications

Meteorological and hydrological monitoring, solar resource & PV plant monitoring, road weather (RWIS), air quality monitoring, early warning networks and multi-parameter monitoring projects.

Software & data services

The GEO-DataView software suite for METEODATA-4000 series comprises:

  • a cloud platform for simple and secure browser-based data access (Webtrans 4K),
  • a desktop software for the datalogger and sensors management (Teletrans-W4K), and
