Extending a Type K thermocouple probe should not compromise the measurement chain. This cable gives users a compatible connection between probe and instrument, using a silicone thermo line designed as a compensation lead for Type K thermocouple probes.
The common Type K flat-pin plug and matching flat-pin socket make it easy to connect existing probe setups without changing the interface. Because the cable is a compensating lead, it avoids the additional errors that non-compensating cables would introduce.
