HD2016 is a rain gauge that detects the weight of the rainfall collected by a 400 cm² inlet. The sensor is a load cell located at the base of the rainfall collecting reservoir. The signal of the load cell is processed by the internal electronic board of the rain gauge in order to output the information on the rainfall.

Various outputs are available:

RS485 with Modbus-RTU or proprietary ASCII protocol

SDI-12

Voltage-free pulse contact output

The rain gauge is able to provide the total rainfall, the partial rainfall (from the last reset command or from the last reading command), the average rainfall rate in the last minute and in the last hour. The measured rainfall is regularly saved into a non-volatile memory, which retains the information even in case of power failure.

The automatic discharge of the rainfall collected allows using a compact and lightweight structure for the installation of the rain gauge.

So as to ensure accurate measurement even with low temperature climatic conditions, a version with heating which is automatically activated below +4 °C has been developed (HD2016R) so that snow deposits and ice formations are prevented.

HD33MT.4 most universal compact meteorological data logger series with universal 4G/3G/2G/GPRS modem.Designed to work with power supply from a solar panel, very low power consumption; solar charger and regulator are already integrated in this logger. Just add a solar panel and the rechargeable battery and you are independent from any further power source. But of course it can also be powered directly from a power supply if that is more convenient.

This logger has multiple inputs/outputs:

4 analog independently configurable inputs

2 voltage-free counting contact inputs

SDI-12 “Master” port compatible with version 1.3.

RS485 port Modbus-RTU configurable as “Master” or “Slave”.

Ethernet MODBUS TCP/IP (optional as HD33MT.4/E or HD33LMT.4/E).

2 voltage-free contact alarm outputs.

Optionally, on request, an internal atmospheric pressure sensor can be added to the logger. As the electronic circuits for this are already integrated, this will not influence the number of free available inputs .

The modem will step down (from 4G to 3G to 2G) when a certain network is not available.
Standard supplied without display, ordering code with display HD33LMT.4

Depending on the sensors connected, simultaneous monitoring of: temperature, humidity, dew point, atmospheric pressure, solar radiation, amount of rain, wind speed and direction,

HD33MT.4, HD33MT.4/E, HD33LMT.4, HD33LMT.4/E,HD33LMT.4E,HD33MT.4E

The HD2015 is a reliable and sturdy bucket rain gauge, entirely constructed of corrosion resistant materials in order to guarantee its durability.

To ensure accurate measurements even with low temperature climatic conditions or during and after precipitations of snow, a version with heating system (HD2015R), automatically activated around +4 °C, has been developed to prevent snow deposits and ice formations.

The quantity of rainfall measured is based on the count of the number of times the bucket is emptied: the reed contacts, normally closed, open at the moment of the rotation between one bucket’s section and the other. The number of impulses can be detected and recorded by a data logger such as the HD2013-DB or by a pulse counter. But it is also possible to communicate directly the results through one of our dataloggers of the HD33 series. The built-in 4G/3G/GPRS modem makes it easy to upload the data directly to one of our cloud applications or to your own secured server.

When ordering, the rain gauge is completely setup to be used. Easy to install, adjustable feet and leveling device integrated. Bird spikes and accesories for raised mounting available.

A removable filter for periodic cleaning and maintenance is inserted in the water collector cone so as to prevent leaves or other elements blocking the end of the hole.

The instruments of the series HD52.3D… are 2 axes ultrasonic static anemometers for measuring

Wind speed and direction, U-V Cartesian components of wind speed

Wind Gust – Measurement available only with MODBUS-RTU and SDI-12 protocols

Relative Humidity and Temperature (optional),

Global Solar Radiation (optional)

Barometric pressure (optional)

Rainfall (optional)

The “Rainfall” and “Global solar radiation” options are alternatives (they can not be both present in the same instrument).

All models are equipped with a magnetic compass.

The avarage of wind speed and direction over a period configurable up to 10 mins is calculated.

RS232, RS485, RS422 and SDI-12 serial interfaces are available with NMEA, MODBUS-RTU and SDI-12 communication protocols. All versions have two analog outputs, both for wind speed and for direction, factory configurable among 4÷20mA (standard), 0÷1V, 0÷5V, 0÷10V (to be specified when ordering).

Advantages:

The absence of moving parts minimizes maintenance;

High sensitivity for detecting very low speeds, which are not detectable by traditional methods;

The low power of the instrument allows installation in remote sites, with power from solar panel and battery;

The heating option ‘R’ prevents the accumulation of snow and ice from forming, allowing accurate measurements in all environmental conditions;

Fast and easy installation, alignment facilitated by built-in compass;

The available measurement options join together in one single, compact and lightweight instrument, the main variables of interest in weather stations;

MODBUS-RTU output allows instrument networking.
