The SWS-050 is a compact forward-scatter visibility sensor designed for reliable, repeatable measurements in all weather conditions. It delivers MOR (Meteorological Optical Range) and extinction coefficient (EXCO) with a fixed measurement range of 10 m to 40 km, making it a cost-effective choice for continuous visibility monitoring and aeronautical applications.
Built for low maintenance, the SWS-050 features a rugged outdoor design with heated hood for harsh climates and an extensive self-test and status reporting system. Window contamination monitoring (with automatic correction and two-level warnings) helps you plan service before performance is affected. For Runway Visual Range (RVR) systems, the sensor can be paired with an ALS-2 ambient light sensor for complete airport visibility solutions.
