The HAND-ARM type of measurement is set directly on the instrument menu with the parameter "Menu >> Settings >> General >> Measures >> Application = HA" or using the NoiseStudio software in "Instrument Manager >> Instrument Configuration >> General Page >> Application = HA Hand-Arm".
Note: if you use the default setups, the type of measurement is selected together with the other setup parameters.
The remarkable physical variables on the effects of the exposure to hand-arm vibrations, and that are considered in the standard evaluation methods, are the following:
1. Intensity of the vibrations.
2. Frequency components of the vibrations.
3. Duration of the exposition.
4. Direction of the vibrations.
The first three variables are measured using the HD2030 analyzer. As to the direction of the vibrations, the correct installation of the accelerometers is important, as described below.
